Why Did I Have Severe Cramping And Brown Discharge During Periods?

Hi I started my so called period on March 31st it lasted four days. Very odd period it was brown and I always have severe cramps and bloating and I felt no pain whatsoever. It was brown the whole time. Then on Friday April 11th I started bleeding again same thing brown blood. Both times has never been a heavy flow. My husband and I have been trying for two years and nothing has happened I just am curious to why this is occurring. I ve never had anything like this happen to me and I ve looked it up online and I can t find anything about it
