Why Did I Get Diarrhea Again After Stopping Prednisone?

I was recently diagnosed with collagenous colitis, I was on prednisone for RA and it stopped the diarrhea. Once I stopped prednisone explosive uncontrollable diarrhea came back. I m miserable and started on entocort ec. I m wondering how long this is safe and there s got to be a better solution. I also have osteopenia, and have a history of steroid use. Suggestions welcomed

Hello! Thanks for putting your query in HCM. I am a Gastroenterologist. Entocort tablets are quite safe as its absorption systemically is very low. So you may continue with entocort tablets without getting side effects of steroid. I hope I have answered you query. Wish you a good health
