Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I took tiazac for a few years. I see that the prescription has not been filled for some time. I also take 1/2 of the lowest dose Amiodarone, since having had an attack of A-fib in January. My health is good other than osteoarthritis. Do you suppose the doctor stopped Tiazac because I don t need I?. My blood pressure is normal and I am a healthy 90-year old woman.
Welcome to HCM Since you do not have high blood pressure or a coronary artery disease , you do not require Tiazac . It has adverse reaction with amiodarone which you are taking for the cardiac arrhythmia. The doctor would have stopped it for these reasons. If you have more queries, I am available Wish you good health Dr Noble Zachariah
