Why Did My Sugar Level Increase After Taking Gastric Medicines?
Dr., I am a diabatic patient for the past 10 years. I used medicine GLUGORED plain 1/2 tablets morning and 1/2 tablets in the night.My sugar level controlled. One month back I am having gasteric problem and I have taken medicine. Now my sugar level increased and now my dr advised Glugored 1 tab in the morning and 1 in the night. But my sugar level is not controlled.Fasting 140 to 170 Postprandial 286 to 308. Now one dr advised to take1 Tab in the morning T.GALVUSMENT 50/500 . Dr.what is your advice.
Hi, It is possible that drugs used for gastric problems may reduce the absorption of diabetic drugs, making them too little absorbed. Second, it may not be related to drugs also. check out what has caused your gastric problem (like increased spicy and mixed diet, alcohol, smoking, stress) may also have contribute to your rising sugar levels, most important is stress. we advice you to cut down your calories, exercise a bit and keep away from stress by meditation or yoga. you should see your results back to normal. hope this helped.
