General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
PCOS is a condition with disturbed hormonal balance that is why the periods are irregular, bleeding pattern also varies. I feel that is a cause of your problem. The treatment starts with confirmation of PCOD by USG scan / hormonal assessment for thyroid followed by treatment of the cause itself. Please consult a gynecologist or endocrinologist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
