I have felt like something is stuck in my throat for the past 3 weeks. It moves from the right to the left side. Tonight, I thought I could feel it by sticking my finger down to where my wind pipe is. I felt little bumps but I tried to move them and I couldn t pop them. Please help me. I want to be able to have my throat feel normal again
Welcome to Healthmagic.. It is quiet common things. In most of the cases the cause behind it is gastric acid reflux injuring the pharyngeal part of mucosal barrier. Sometimes leading to swelling of the adjacent lymphatic glands thus causing constant globus sensation in the throat without any history of foreign body. Best possible measure... 1. Taking steam inhalation and warm saline gurgle daily 2-3times. 2. Taking a gastric acid suppressor like pantoprazole or ranitidine. 3. If sensation is irritating more then an antacid + anaesthetic gel will be helpful. 4. If it persists more than 4 week even after this measure then a diagnostic upper GI endoscopy with posterior pharyngeal examination may be needed. Hope this will help you. With regards,
