hi, i am a very fit 52 year old female, my query is that for the last 4 months when i do lunges or squats at the gym my left quadricep muscle swells by 5cms and feels very weak, recovery take about an hour but i find it very annoying that it limits my physical activity. I would like to understand what this is happening and why, have i torn a muscle, i have no pain just the swelling and weakness, thank you
