Why Do I Feel Weak And Tired All The Time?

Hello, I am 54. At age 29 I had full blown Graves disease and I had subtotal thyroid removal and have been on meds since then. I take Syntroid 0.125mg, Cytomel 25mcg and Zoloft 100mg daily. For many years now I always feel weak and tired even though TSH and CBC are always normal. I am fed up with being dismissed!!!! I am tired of always being tired. You are my last hope as lately I have been thinking that a shotgun blast to my head will finally fix my problem. Please help!!!! Steve.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
There isnt any resion to shotgun your head because you feel tiredness .it is not a that serious problem.so forget about that. You are suffering from hypothyroidism and now on replacment therapy now your tiredness can be due inadequet thyroid supplimentation so first go to yourdoctor and ask him to check your t3 and t4 level if it is normal than you should consult psychiatrist and if t3 t4 level is low than only thing you need is to increase the dose of medicine.
