Hello,
Keep your scalp clean. Cut your hair a little short so that it can be manageable. Do not apply coconut oil on your scalp & avoid
sunburn. Sometimes, trauma, or an
allergic reaction to hair products can also make the scalp tender. Avoid the use of hair products that have chemical ingredients in them. Do not dye your hair and do not use curlers or hair setting gels.
Underlying medical conditions like
neuralgia, where nerves are affected, or there is inflammation of the blood vessels in the scalp may also cause such symptoms. Get clinically examined by a
Dermatologist. If need be you will be referred to a
Neurologist. In the meantime, switch to healthy lifestyle. Take homemade nutritious food, take 8 hours quality sleep, do regular morning and evening walk & bath regularly.
Such symptoms can be caused due to
tension headache. avoid direct exposure to sunlight. Do not work continuously for long hours on computer. Avoid stress and
anxiety. Make sure your sleep is complete. Stay away from addictions. Use some mild herbal hair moistening lotion. Be gentle with your scalp. Avoid oiling your scalp for a couple of days. Let it heal.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
