Why Do I Get Sharp Pains In My Chest?

I get random sharp pains in my chest, over my heart, that last for about 2-3 minutes, it hurts to breathe during this time, and they get sharper during breaths. This is the 5th time this month as of today, May 8th. what is this? i am 14 years old, and a female

Hi thanks for asking question.

If you have common cold with sore throat like repeated viral infection then it can lead such pain as constitutional symptoms.Treat it symptomatically.

If fever also present with cough and CBC show high WBC count then rule out pneumonitis like condition by chest x ray.Antibiotic needed for it.

You could have simple musculoskeletal pain by muscular strain or improper sleep posture or heavy weight lift or heavy exercise.Simple analgesic with hot compress useful.

For rulling out cardiac problems perform ECG.

If no cardiac or respiratory cause identifiable then costochondritis could be the cause.Rest and analgesic given for it.
