Hi, I feel twitching in my uterus, as if I was pregnant (I already have one child) but I took several pregnancy tests and they came out negative. I am on birth control (I have never missed my pill) and I had my period on time last month. Could I still be pregnant?
Hi, Thanks for the query. If you used contraceptive pills as per the guidelines, the possibility of pregnancy is less. Continuously thinking about pregnancy can lead to experience of pregnancy symptoms in the absence of pregnancy. This is called spurious pregnancy. As you got once withdrawal bleeding also, the possibility of pregnancy is less. If you still have doubt regarding pregnancy, once go for ultrasound with your doctor's advice. When you watch the empty uterus in ultrasound, you can come out of the thinking of pregnancy. You can continue the contraceptive pills as usual. If you follow the guidelines you can avoid the possibility of pregnancy. For more details : http://srsree.blogspot.com/2013/11/general-guidelines-of-using-combined.html Take care.
