Why Do I Have Abdominal Pain, Tightness In Navel And Cough? Can It Be Because Of Throat Infection?

Ok. I have a sever sore throat and went to the Dr. today. She gave me an atibiotic for the throat infection. I am not coughing often anymore but when I do cough or even getting up off the chair, I get a strong pain in the center of my abdomen about 5 inches above my navel right under the rib cage. It feels like a pulled muscle. Is that what it could be?

Hi,
It seems that due to non productive irritant cough there might be having strain on abdominal muscles giving rise to this problem.
nothing to worry, if it is distressing, take one analgesic tablet as and when required.
Ok and take care.
