Why Do I Have Burning Sensation And Itching In Vagina?

Which I know is a no no.When i pee it does not sting or hurt but, in my outer area it has been irritated and burning now some white dry white discharge has come out what could this be? I just tried the monistat will this work? I had these similar symptoms before and it came out as a bacterial infection what could this be? Some days it's fine and some days it's a uncomfortable feeling. I called my doctor and she said it sounds like a yeast but, I don't know? What is it because I Have a appointment to get it checked out.
Hello, I have gone through your query and understood the concern. Your symptoms are suggestive of a vaginitis. A local examination under a speculum and a swab test of the vagina, cervix, urinalysis are needed to detect the exact cause. It is common to experience vaginoses soon after a period, especially if you have the habit of using tampons. Your sexual partner also needs to be examined for any infection. Please do not self-medicate. Use complete treatment as suggested by your consultant. If necessary, you may also be given prophylaxis for up to six months. Please maintain genital hygiene and abstain until you are completely healed. Take care.
