Why Do I Have Little Red Spots On Legs?

About a month or two ago I started getting little red spots on my legs. I thought it was from shaving. Then I started getting more. Now they are the size of a half dollar with uneven edges & some have a crusty yellow scab & they won't heal or go away? What is this?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

Welcome to HCM,

You seem to have superficial folliculitis. You consult dermatologist for firm diagnosis. After thorough examination and investigations, he might come to some conclusion. He might prescribe antibiotics like minocycline 50 mg twice a day for few weeks to few months along with anti inflammatory drugs. Antibiotic cream may be applied. Dettol liquid may be used to cleanse the affected area. DM,HIV and other immunocompromised conditions may be ruled out. You may be alright. I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
