every month for the past 5 or 6 months i begin to feel mild labor like contractions under my rib cage. it lasts for about 3 minuites with 30 sec intervals then its gone only to occur a month later. Sometimes its at night, sometimes its while I'm at work on the computer. What could this be?
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic. I can understand your concern. Intermittent feeling of chest contractions are commonly seen in stress and anxiety. But better to rule out heart related diseases first. So get done ecg and 2d echo. If both are normal then no need to worry for heart diseases. Stress and anxiety related symptoms is more likely in your case. So better to consult psychiatrist and get done counselling sessions. Try to identify stressor in your life and start working on its solution. You may need anxiolytic drugs too. Don't worry, you will be alright. But first rule out heart diseases. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
