Why Do I Have Pain Around The Tragus Area Of My Left Ear?
I have pain around the tragus area of my left ear which radiates to the bottom of the ear cartilage and just behind the tragus too. It hurt when I yawned yesterday. In addition, last night when going to bed, I noticed my left ear getting blocked when I was laying down and when I woke up this morning, it is definitely blocked.
You are experiencing pain in the tragus area of your ear (L). The pain is also on the tragus of the left ear. Your left ear is also getting blocked. Your symptoms are indicative of otitis externa. You are suggested to get clinically examined by an ENT. Since you are also having blockage of the left ear, if it is required the treating doctor will do your ear wash to clean it of any debris or wax.
Infection is treated with a course of oral antibiotics, or steroids if required. Applying steroid ear drops is effective. Do not let water enter the ear and avoid going own into the swimming pools. You can take NSAIDs, after taking food to get rid of pain and discomfort.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
