Why Do I Have Pain In Pelvic Area Up To The Chest During Periods?
Hi my name is ml.n...I am having an issue with pain...i started my period yesterday...it's happening during my menstral cycles. The pain starts from the lower left pelvic area..all the way up the left side as far as the left side of my chest. It hurts the most to urinate and move my bowels. Any ideas? Thank you.
Some amount of pain, bladder and bowel symptoms can be seen in menstrual period due to pelvic congestion. In case of severe pain, the possible causes of are: -Gynecological causes that can lead to dysmenorrhea are adenomyosis, fibroids, Ovarian cysts, pelvic inflammatory disease, etc. -Other systemic causes like renal calculi, inflammatory bowel disease, etc.
If the pain is severe and gradually increasing in nature, better to get evaluated. Please consult your Gynecologist once and get examined. By clinical examination and ultrasound, the possible cause of the problem can be identified and treatment can be taken accordingly. Antispasmodics can give symptomatic relief.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
