Why Do I Have Severe Lower Back Pain After Abortion With Misoprostol, And How Long Will Bleeding Last?
I have done my abortion on 6 november with misoprostol alone now after one week has been passed. My bleeding is as normal in periods but after 7 days i feel sevear pain at the back then i took 3 ibuprofen then i get relief My question is why this pain occur at the lower back after the one week Seondly how long does this bleeding last ?
After abortion, bleeding commonly stops after 2 weeks. Though in some women it may stop earlier or a little later in others. Pain and bleeding after abortion is natural as the uterus contracts and expels the remains of abortion, the tissues and the placental products.
You should never try to do self-induce abortion as it may result in incomplete abortion, hemorrhage, injury to the cervix, uterus, vagina, septic shock, etc. Get clinically examined by a gynecologist to rule out incomplete abortion or any type of injury or perforation. Take pain relieving medications like naproxen, on stat for relief. Warm compress is also helpful.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
