Hi
By frequent rubbing of eyes one may get erosion of corneal and conjunctival epithelium. This causes photophobia and foreign body like sensation.
Avoid rubbing. Follow ocular hygiene.
At present one may use one antibiotic eye drops and lubricating eye drops for a fortnight or so to be comfortable.
