Why Do Pregnancy Test Indicate Positive After Abortion?

Hi.. I had an abortion 7 weeks and 3days ago. I have been sexually active since with my partner. Any I still have not had a period so iv done 3 test all on different days and they where all positive but I just don t feel pregnant. Could the tests be wrong

I have gone through your query and understood your concern. The home pregnancy tests can remain positive for 3-4 weeks after an abortion or delivery as the hormone levels take time to come down to the pre-pregnancy levels. Since you had the abortion more than 7 weeks ago, this period is by far gone. The fact that you did not get any period after the abortion and have repeatedly positive pregnancy tests indicates that you are pregnant once again. You need not always feel the symptoms. If you are still in doubt, you can get an estimation of the serum beta-hCG titres done followed by a trans-vaginal sonogram to get clarification. Hope this helps.
