Why do some people say its ok to eat eggs n bacon if u have diabetes? ok, i asked a question about eating cheerios with skim milk for breakfast, and some people said it was better to have bacon n eggs instead. But arent you supposed to avoid high fat foods if you have diabetes? isnt bacon one of the most fatty foods?? im confused well, in all the diabetes books ive read its says that to avoid diabetes complications, you have to eat healthy. low carbs, and also low fats. because if you have diabetes you are more likely to develop heart disease and high blood pressure , which fatty foods help to do. i mean, so i get less carbs, but i end up with more saturated fat , which will increase my blood pressure, and is not good for the heart well, alcohol doesnt concern sugar levels either, but your not supposed to drink it if you have diabetes since it raises your blood pressure and decreases your insulin sensitivity
