Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I broke 2 of my toes a few years ago, and over the weekend I went to NYC and walked for 9-11 hours, the back of the bone it very tender. It s not swollen or discolored, just tender when I walk or when I touch the toes near beginning of the bone connected to the foot. Toes are the 2 close to big toe. Thanks
Even after you break a bone and it heals, it is never exactly the same bone as it was before.
In your case, there may have been some built up scar tissue that made itself known after walking around NYC all day.
The best thing to do would be to make sure you have good fitting shoes that are wide around the toes to give them room. All in all, I don't think there is anything to worry about.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Daniel Richard Paull, Orthopaedic Surgeon
