Hi,
Welcome to HCM.

The traumatic ulcer over genitals following sex, however tiny it could be, a total abstinence from sex for not less than 7-10 days is necessary for its healing.
The likelihood of catching genital herpes from your partner, If she harbors the infection could not be ruled out.
Avoid sex as far as possible when she has any genital symptoms like vesicles, sores, itching, or irritation or pain.
