Why Does My Cold Medication Make My Throat Itchy And Cough Difficult?
CHECKED WT MY DOCTOR DUE TO COLDS AND PERSISTENT COUGHS AND WAS GIVEN THE FLWG. MOXIFLOXACIN-AVELOX 400MG/ NASATHERA 25MG/LEVOPRONT 30MG. LAST SATURDAY AND HAS TO BE TAKEN 3 X A DAY EXCEPT FOR THE AVELOX. MY QUESTION IS INSTEAD OF LOOSENING MY COUGH MY THROAT GETS MORE ITCHY AND MAKING ME VERY DIFFICULT TO COUGH AS IF MY WHOLE ABDOMEN DID A 100X SIT UPS.

They may reduce your symptoms. In these type of cases I , to my patients add an antitussive syrup as well to relieve his symptoms of cough and scratchy throat..
