Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my feet have hurt me since I stood up and walked on them as a baby. I use to be thin and very active and my feet always hurt. I rode racehorses and weighed 115 pounds and would jump down from the horse and go to my knees because it felt like I landed on razor blades. I worked 3 manual labor jobs thru high school and did not start smoking till I was 18. Yet now when I say my feet hurt the doctors just see my diabetes, obese, smoke, sedentary lifestyle!

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hello, Thanks for your query.
Pain in feet may be due to repeated over-stressing of the same structure of the foot as it may lead to stress fractures, tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, and acute and chronic osteoarthritis. pain in feet may also occur in patients of increased uric acid or RA factor. You should get your RA factor quantitative, serum uric acid, E.S.R, C.R.P and x-ray of foot in AP, Oblique and Lateral view done. If all the reports are with in normal limits and if fasting blood sugar is also in normal limit then you should follow following treatment:
-Provide rest to affected foot as much as you can for 3-4 days. -Do regular calf and foot muscle stretching exercise as uploaded on you tube. -You can take tab. aceclofenac+serratiopeptidase combination in morning evening and night by discussing it with your doctor. -Shoes with good arch support and a cushioned sole.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care
