Why Does My Knee Give A Painful Grind And Locks Itself Making It Difficult To Move?

so when i walk around my knee does a wierd painful grind feels like it will give out. sometimes it locks up when its bent and it hurts to unbend. and now on my left knee tords the outside i have a bruse like pain thhat shoots smallnpain up my thigh. i didnt fall or hit it

Hello,
Grinding and locking often have to do with damage to the meniscus. That is the cartilage lining of the knee. This may be able to be repaired arthroscopically (through a scope, instead of an open surgery) but you would probably need an MRI of the knee before they could decide on what procedure would fix this problem. See an orthopedic doctor soon.
