I had a hip revision done at VGH in Aug. 2013. ( My fifth hip operation.) I have some raw itching areas of skin on my left arm, hip and thigh. The revision was for my left leg. I believe that some apparatus was used to hold my body in position while the operation took place which may have involved some type of glue or adhesive. This may have caused some lasting skin problem as six months later I still have periodic severe itching. What can I do to be assured it will go away. Jack Paul.
Dear Jack Paul, i do not think that any material can cause itching for 6 months after removing it. I would like you to show to a skin specialist as it can be a different pathology all together. You can apply bethamethasone cream mean while.
