Why Does My Urine Smell Like Nuts?

I had my urine tested for a pre opp surgery and they found blood in my urine. for the past 2 days my urine smells like nuts. The same thing happened a few years ago but the doctors didn't seem to think there was anything wrong. Should I be concerned???

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As there is blood in urine, there is definitely something wrong with your urinary tract. Also, nuts like smell suggests some invading pathogens giving particular odor to the urine.

You must get evaluated in terms of Urine complete and Urine culture. S.Creatinine with ultrasound of abdomen and pelvis should be done to properly know the reason and then treatment should be started accordingly. Till then drink plenty of liquids as you can.
