i had an abortion when i was 7 weeks pregnant, my breasts are still growing and i was wondering if my body is confused and preparing for the baby. it would have been born in late october early november. also i had a medical abortion if that makes a difference.
Breast grow during pregnancy in response to the increasing estrogen and progesterone which is present and which increase as the pregnancy progresses to prepare for breast feeding after delivery.
After a miscarriage these hormones are suddenly withdrawn from maternal circulation and the breast either remain the same or shrink .
If you are feel that your breast are growing you need to rule out if you are having weight gain which is generalized, any milk secretion from the breast, as it could indicate prolactin hormone excess.
You could get a blood test done to see if there is prolactin excess.
Hope this helps. Regards.
