Why Does The Hand Become Blue In The Cold?

Hi Doctor - I have for some 3 yeras now had a re-action to the cold where the thumb on my left hand turns blue at the slightest reaction to me feeling cold. It quickly goes back to its normal colour but it is combined with now and again my feet pulse and this can last for most of the day - it is worse at night. I have been to see a blood specilaist and I am told its not Raynauds or any thing serious and they have pescribed Amatripaline ( probably spelt that wrong ) for the pulsing. The pulsing has not troubled me too much in the last 18 months but is back now and is very annoying. The above tablets I only take one at night really make me feel very tired. My question is should I be worried and have you herad of this before ? I am 42 female and generally in very good health I weigh 8 4 and am 5 foot tall.
