Why Forcan Being Prescribed For Urinary Infection?

My wife had problem of urine blood flow.she was diagnosed as infection "problem" she was cured but still she is having a minute pain while peeing.now doctor has suggested forcan 150 mg for both of us? can i get why we both are being asked to take this?

Respected User, hi I evaluated your query thoroughly.
*As many urinary tract infections are associated with fungus also along with
E.Coli pathogens , it`s an advisable and admirable policy to give Forcan
(150) which will :
@ Work as Fungicidal in case of existing infection / Prophylactic in case of
absence of any fungus.
@ Both partners as many urinary infections are transmitted through sexual
intercourse.
