Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Why Have I Had Periodic Bouts Of Severe Chest, Head Pain, Excruciating Muscle Pain And Weakness In Arms?
I have periodic bouts of severe chest and head pain accompanied by HBP. Also have Hashimotos. Muscle pain and weakness in arms during these episodes .Xray, EKG, blood work, stress test all ok. Pain is excruitating and debilitating. Where can I go to get diagnosis? My doctors can t figure it out. I am owned lisinopril and clonidine as well as Synthroid.
With the history, I can assume that you have mentioned you have high blood pressure, hyperthyroidism for which you are taking medicines. The pain you have is related to the cervical spine. The nerve may getting compression anywhere in the root or the course of its path. Simple neck strengthening exercises and upper limb strengthening exercises should help you get ease of symptoms.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
