Hello and welcome to HCM,
There are few possibilities for this kind of bleeding. The commonest is erosion of the cervix where the cervix is inflammed, or its lining is altered making it friable and bleed on touch. Another reason is
cervical polyp or
endometrial polyp that are small tumors of the cervix or uterus leading to irregular bleeding. Trauma during sex also results in bleeding.
Cervical cancer is rare and produces bleeding with foul smelling discharge. Hormonal disturbances also cause irregular bleeding that is not related to sexual contact.
The best way to diagnose this is by examination of cervix and vagina by a gynecologist so get yourself evaluated as soon as you can. An
ultrasonography may be needed to diagnose endometrial polyps. It is possible to stop the bleeding temporarily using drugs like
tranexamic acid, but it is advisable to use these after examination by a doctor. Do not worry, these are common problems and are easily treatable.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Thanks for using HCM.
