Why I Have Light Sensitivity Quite Badly In One Eye?
one month ago i had cataract surgery with multifocal implants with a london eye surgeon. I seem to have light sensitivity quite badly in one eye. I was told that it may be due to an infection and was told to keep on with my eye drops for a further two weeks. I would have thought that if i had an infection the eye would look red or sore but it looks exactly the same as the other eye. Do you think that not administerating the drops properly could have anything to do with this, as sometimes they do not always go in and I have to do them again. Thank you for any help you can giv me
Hello It seems from the history that you have undergone cataract surgery with multifocal intraocular lens in both the eyes and you are having problem of light sensitivity in one eye. This can be because of inflammtion induced by surgery or because of corneal edema following surgery or because of the multifocal intraocular lens itself. Not administering or improper administering of eye drops can cause corneal edema or inflammation of the eye which can cause these symptoms. Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
