Why I Still Have Chalazion In Upper Eyelid Even After Surgery ?
Hi Everyone,I have had an incision and curretage since there was a chalazion in the upper lid of my right eye.Its nearly two weeks now and the chalazion is still the same and in the same place and above the chalazion outside in my eye, is aching and begins to become a bit black.I feel that the surgeon had performed the surgical operation above the chalazionand not in the chalazion. Can anyone have an idea why is this so??
Chalazion is a glandular swelling. If the chalazion is not removed completely it can recur. This might be the cause in your case
Some times a cyst can form in place of the chalazion.
Please consult your opthalmologist and have it reviewed.
Thanks and Regards
Dr Kiran
