Why Is Armour Dosage Being Reduced Despite Having Hypothyroid Issues?
I had my thyroid killed off 18 years ago and have been on synthroid ever since. Last year it was determined my body was not converting t4 to t3 and I was started on compound thyroid. My last dr had worked me all the way up to 95mg compound thyroid 2x a day...but i am still severely hypo and barely able to get out of bed. My new dr says based on my weight, 124lbs, I should only be on 60mg Armour once a day! That is 1/3 of the dose I am currently on and I am still very hypo...how is that possible? If the 95mg 2x a day is still leaving me hypo, how can switching to the Armour at 60mg just once a day make me better? My labs: tsh 3.74 t4free .77 t3free 2.8 reverse t3 6.3 t3 129 Someone please help me! I have been bedridden for a year and am about to give up!
