I am very much scared and paryinge evryday that my test will be neutral. Please let me know what will be observed in this test i mean froma lay man s point of view what is there in this test. Thanks,
Hi,Ruchi,
Thanks for query,
This test is done between 15th to 20th weeks of pregnancy.
Thia test is done to rule out certain birth defects in foetus like spina bifida, down syndrome etc.
By this test we can know the level of hormones from placenta, foets.
by doing this test we should keep in mind certain points like, diabetes, past twin pregnancy, age of mother etc.
If test is positive then nothing to worry,it may be false positive and they will go for detailed ultra sonography.
Ok and bye
