Why Is An Irritated Lining Of My Nostril Bleeding?
Hi, I have an irritated lining of my nostril with slight bleeding. Not really bothering me, however, I see a small amount of blood on the tissue when cleaning. Recently started in second nostril. It happened since the cold weather started, however, I never had it before. I am not on any meds.
pls. advise if there is an over the counter med that I can use.

As per your query you have irritated lining of my nostril and nose bleeding . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like chemical irritants , allergic reaction , injury to the nose , repeated sneezing and upper respiratory infection . But in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are due to allergic reaction or infection . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination .Doctor may order nasal endoscopy , CT scan ,blood tests and x-ray to rule out conditions like nasal polyp . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( amoxicillin or penicillin ) , anti histamine and may recommend surgery in case of nasal polyp . Foe now take benadryl twice a day , apply cold compresses on nose and take steam .
