Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I am 32 and I have only had this happen a couple times but this is the second time that it has been really bad. I basically had a bowel movement of blood There was a little (poop) but, the toilet was filled with red blood. I have problems with gas, so after eating pepperoni pizza tonight I took "Beno" & it helps my gas. I am very scared. I do not have health insurance. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you..
Your symptoms seem to be related to hemorrhoids. Some advices that I can give to you are:
- Add fiber to your diet slowly to avoid problems with gas. Use topical treatments. - Apply over-the-counter hemorrhoid cream or suppository containing hydrocortisone. - Use pads containing witch hazel or a numbing agent. - Soak regularly in a warm bath or sitz bath.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
