Why Is Diastolic Blood Pressure Reading Low?

our son 26 years old is on high blood pessure tablet metpure xl -25 &atorec -10 mg for high cholestrol &also taking orofex xt for low heamoglobin count &omega gold .for the past 7 weeks he is also on ayurvedic medicines for the same symptoms ,today his high BP reading is 130/56 .his previos reading was 130 /70 on 20th february .please advice why diastolc reading is lowered ie 56 guide us on future medicine course thank u doc

You need your providers to team up and do a complete medication review. Something changed with his medication between Feb. and now and it sounds like there may be an interaction or other problem with the ayurvedic medicines. Please go to your ayurvedic practioner and take this problem to him as he is the only one that can adjust the meds given prior to the lowered diastolic number. Start a log and keep a running log of treatments and blood pressures if you really want to see what affects your son's blood pressure. Take care.
