Why Is It Important To Maintain Normal Globulin Levels?

My blood test showed a globulin level was 4.2 My WBC was 11.4 and my glucose was 122. My AST was 13 (L) and my ALT was 16 (L). I know how to get my glucose down as I. should lay off sugar and exercise more and lose 8 lbs. The rest of the blood screening was stellar. What do I do to fix the globulin level and the AST and ALT. Should I be eating more vegetables. I am a type 2 diabetic and take Metformin, Do you think a thyroid pill low dose is necessary?

Hello,

Your liver enzymes values are within limit, you might need not to worry about that.

For high glucose, you can continue losing weight with lifestyle modification and metformin. However, the comment regarding the necessity of thyroid pill intake cannot be given until you provide your TSH report.

The globulin can be increased in some inflammation as well. I need to check the unit of your globulin report as well to comment further.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
