Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Issues you describe are caused by stenosis and compression on your lumbosacral nerve roots and spinal cord.

Stenosis is a condition that may be worsened by certain body positions as walking or long standing for example, resulting this way in more compression on nerves and worse symptoms.

Resting relieves pressure and compression resulting in improvement.

Treatment is necessary in such cases and consists on avoiding weights and excessive physical activity, NSAID drugs use and physical therapy initially.

Surgery ( decompression ) is considered in severe cases.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Take care.
