Why Is Liquid Running In Left Nostril When Right Is Completely Normal?
Hello. On monday I had my upper left wisdom tooth extracted. Everything seems ok so far and I have a nice big red blood clot which I can see is turning white and healing but One thing is bothering me. My left nostril or sinus seems to be leaking fluid. Its tingly and keeps making a poping noise. There is no bad smell or taste and its not leaking into my mouth. My worry is that I have a sinus perforation. Is this possible with what I am describing? That side of my nose it feels like It's really open and I can take a lot of air into it where as before It felt like I couldn't and it was always a bit blocked. My right nostril feels a bit blocked and I still have my upper wisdom tooth on that side.
Just a note. My family have all just gone through a cold where they've had runny noses and coughs but my concern is why is only my left nostril running and feeling strange and my right is completely normal?
hello. it is likely you may have developed a mild sinus infection on your left side as the roots of teeth are closely related to the sinus floor. it is not likely that you have a perforation though. please meet your dentist, he will examine and do the needful. thanks
