I did an abortion last month and I saw my period on the 5th- 8th on the 11th I had sex and took postinor2 immediately.... the next day I did a pregnancy test and it showed positive, I took misoprostol that day and did test the next day and its still showing positive does that mean am pregnant?
Hello dear Understand your concern. If you have take postinor 2 with in 72 hour chance of pregnancy is only 5 %. But HPT will come positive after 7-10 days after your missed period date. It may be false positive result. Better conformation of pregnancy is done by Blood HCG and pelvic sonography. Never use misoprostol without consulting gynecologist as it cause complication. After taking it bleeding will start and its suggests abortion process is started. If you are pregnant, HPT will become negative after 10 days after using misoprostol. Better to confirm the pregnancy by USG. Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
