Why Is My Grandson Having Arm Pain While Pitching?

My grandson has arm pain when he pitches, never had it before, he got hot with line drive about 3 moths ago , when he pitched couple weeks later his arm hurt. hasn't pitched in a good while but now 3 moths later when he pitches it hurts. not before or after only when he throws. he was hit just above the elbow maybe 2" just inside the bone. Same place it hurts only when he throws. I don't think there is anything there but muscle. no tends to damage unless it may be the bone. Could a bruise cause pain that long after it happened

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
I feel that he had a hairline fracture/green stick fracture after he sustained an injury.
That is the reason why he is having pain for so long a period.
Better take an x-ray and consult orthpedician.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
