Hello,
You are advised to take bath regularly, clean the smegma, do not let it stay accumulated there. You are suffering from
phimosis, it occurs due to poor hygiene and infection thereafter. It may also occur due to abrasions, cuts, injuries or sexually transmitted infections if sexually active. Get clinically examined by a
Urologist to rule out other underlying medical conditions like
balanitis or
balanoposthitis, etc. You will be treated accordingly.
You should get STD tests done. This is to stay on the safer side. If positive reports are obtained you will be treated accordingly. The treatment of choice for phimosis is
circumcision. However, your treating Urologist may suggest that you gently start stretching the foreskin after about two weeks of using a steroid cream. You can do it, but if there is not much improvement you will be recommended surgery.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
