My optic nerve in my left eye is swollen, head of ophthamology confirmed it. He is suspecting I have idiopathic inter cranial hypertension! I had a surgery in February of 2013 taking out my wisdom teeth. I was supposed to get the roots removed also but the doc who took them out left them in! I warned him I have a lot of sinusitis & trouble with my sinuses--he said it was fine! I am now wondering if the roots from my wisdom tooth on the upper left side could be causing my optic nerve swelling--causing the IIH? & if so if I te the roots out now could it help?
your eye problem is not related nto wisdom tooth removal or sinusproblem. optic nerve head swelling is papiledema. it is due to raised intracrainial pressure. cause of same is to be diagnosed. may consult neurologist, and take advise for treatment.
