Why Is The Swelling In The Foot, Ankle And Calf All Of A Sudden?
I fell while bowling 8 days ago and hurt my knee. The inner part of the knee is where the pain is located. My knee was really swollen for 3 or 4 days. its not as swollen now but still has pain. I was on my feet pretty much all day and night yesterday and today when I woke up my foot, ankle, and calf are swollen and a little tingly but no pain. Any thoughts why the swelling all of a sudden in my foot ankle and calf
Hi I think first you should get xray done for knee ankle and foot to rule out any fracture. Second thing is swelling can be due to local haematoma ligamentous injury or bruise. But as you are complaining for tingling sensation i doubt wheather you are developing compartment syndrome. If pain on passive stretching increase you should immediately consult trauma surgeon. If no pain you can apply ice. Get well soon. Thank you.
