Why Is There An Indentation On My Abdomen After Liposuction Procedure?
Hi Dr. A few years ago I had liposuction. Everything seemed normal. I just noticed a deep indentation in the right area besides the naval. The area above it is very firm, hard. I also will mention I have Hypothyroidism and Hashis and have been having difficulty breathing for the past 3+ months. Stress test came out ok, and want to know where to go from here. Thanks
What happens is, we have to insert the laparoscopic instruments through the area near naval area. This indentation is due to that instrumentation. No need to worry about it, this is normal.
Hardening of the area above it is due to the skin healing (of the wound) and is normal.
For difficulty breathing, go for CBC with ESR and Differentials Blood test and upload the reports with a follow up query. Also attach latest Thyroid workup which you will have with you (Thyroid profile). Add the medication list which you are on now a days.
Hope it helps. Feel free to consult me anytime when needed.
Regards!
