Why Is There Tingling Sensation In Arms And Hands While Urinating?
Why do I sometimes get and intense tingling sensation in my arms and hands when urinating? The first time it happened to me is about 7 years ago when I first discovered I was pregnant with my first child. When it started happening more frequently recently, I took a pregnancy test and found it was not related to my pregnancy because I am not pregnant. It is really worrying me!
The intense tingling sensation in arms and hands when urinating can be attributed to reduction in blood pressure owing to peripheral pooling of blood in legs. It is also seen during pregnancy as the enlarged uterus compresses the abdominal veins resulting in pooling of blood in the lower limbs.
Management includes: 1. Maintain adequate hydration & proper nutrition 2. While getting up from sitting position, rise gradually to prevent fall in blood pressure. 3. Get blood pressure & blood sugar levels checked...so that any fluctuations from the normal values can be taken care of.
So, there is no need to worry as the pregnancy test came negative, as this is not an indication of pregnancy. Wishing you a good health. Thanks & take care.
